PS
Applicants must submit a personal statement of interest and purpose which should address future goals and proposed use of the degree, as well as other factors the admissions committee should take into consideration when evaluating application. Submissions should be 1-2 pages, double spaced.
CV
An up-to-date resume or CV that lists previous career experience and educational history must be submitted to with all applications.
Fee
A $65 non-refundable application fee is required. Individuals applying through LSAC may incur additional charges for LSAC registration.
RL
Applicants for ALP, IBT, and ENRLP LLM programs must provide the name and contact for two individuals who can recommend the applicant for admission. The LLM in taxation requires one letter of recommendation.
Ideal choices for references include former or current professors, supervisors, or community leaders who are familiar with the applicant and can comment on the applicant’s ability to succeed in a rigorous graduate program. The applicant should specify to recommenders that the admission committee gives a significant weight to the letters.
Transcript
Applicants must submit official transcripts form all post-secondary institutions attended, regardless of whether a degree was earned. Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Applicants with foreign credentials must also submit official proof of the degree earned (e.g., a copy of the diploma or certificate) with an English translation. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent directly from the institution to our office, or if they are sent by the applicant or a third party and they remain in an original sealed envelope from the institution.
Please note that applicants applying through LSAC will need to furnish additional copies of transcripts and proof of degree and comply with LSAC rules and regulations.
