The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences awards all of the Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, and works closely with the Olin Business School, the School of Engineering, the School of Medicine, and the Brown School of Social Work in supervising doctoral students in the Ph.D. programs located in these Schools. Currently there are more than 1800 students enrolled in over 50 programs leading to the Ph.D. and in 19 programs leading to various master’s degrees.
The Graduate School is a charter member of the Association of Graduate Schools and the Council of Graduate Schools.
