Your TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test. These scores represent the minimum required for applicants to graduate programs at UCLA.

Your IELTS overall band score should be at least 7.0. 7.0 is the minimum required.
GRE
GRE scores. These are required. When you take your GRE you will be asked to supply institutional and department codes. UCLA is [Institution] R4837 and we are Department 2901. This will ensure that we receive your scores online. It is not necessary to send a hard copy to us.

The first parts of this section ask you to list honors and awards, work experience, and other c.v.-like information. The second part is the essay. We want one to two pages, single-spaced. It is helpful if your statement of purpose shows that you have good reasons to want to enter our program. Feel free to email department faculty to ask to see a current syllabus, or just generally to talk about research.

These letters will be submitted online. You will be asked to list your recommenders in the online application and give their contact information. Of the three letters required, at least two should come from people who have taught you Latin and Greek.
