PS Please write 1-2 pages about your background, experience, and research interests that are relevant to this academic program and that may aid the application evaluation process. Applicants are encouraged to identify research areas of interest they wish to pursue in the Ph.D. program. It is recommended, though not required, to identify one or more potential research mentors from the department's faculty whose research program(s) are related to your area of interest. Save this as a document to upload with the online application. CV Provide an up-to-date CV and include information on the applicant's educational, professional, and research background. The following information will be critical to evaluate the application: Research experience/publications/abstracts Awards and honors Intellectual pursuits (continuing education, seminars attended, lectures, etc.) Leadership roles (officer in organization, administrator at job, service to professional/service organizations) Professional presentations Teaching/mentoring experience Fee The application fee to KU is $60 for all degree programs in the School of Health Professions RL Applicants will enter the names and contact information (including email addresses) of three (3) individuals into the online application. The system will then prompt each person to submit the reference online. A reference should be a faculty member, advisor, employer or other person familiar with the applicant's work and character. The recommendations may not be obtained from family members, friends, etc. Transcript Arrange to have one official copy of each transcript from every college and university that you have attended sent directly to KU Medical Center. If the institution provides electronic transcripts, please have them sent to PTRStranscripts@kumc.edu.
