TOEFL
Other equivalent tests such as the TOEFL or PTE are also accepted, and other qualifications and experience may also be considered.Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange students are only required to meet a program's overall score requirement (e.g. 6.5 IELTS or 87 TOEFL or 64 PTE).If you have taken an internet-based test you must attach a copy of the TOEFL test result to your application. For computer-based and paper-based TOEFL tests, you must arrange for UQ to receive an original copy of your official TOEFL score report.Please ask the Educational Testing Service to send the Official Score Report directly to The University of Queensland (Institutional code: 0987).
IELTS
At least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the IELTS or equivalent test. Some programs have higher English proficiency requirements. See each program page for more information.Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange students are only required to meet a program's overall score requirement (e.g. 6.5 IELTS or 87 TOEFL or 64 PTE).Please attach a copy of the IELTS test result to your application.IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. GPA
To enrol in the program, a student must hold –
(a) an approved honours degree or masters degree in the same discipline with a GPA of at
least 4.5 and at least one year of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience
relevant to the courses offered in the program, as approved by the executive dean; or
(b) an approved honours degree in a different discipline with a GPA of at least 4.5 and have
completed at least three years of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience
relevant to the courses offered in the program, as approved by the executive dean; or
(c) an approved degree in the same discipline with a GPA of at least 4.5 and have completed
at least two years of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience relevant to
the courses offered in the program, as approved by the executive dean; or
(d) an approved degree in a different discipline with a GPA of at least 4.5 and have
completed at least five years of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience
relevant to the courses offered in the program, as approved by the executive dean; or
(e) an equivalent academic or professional qualification in law and be able to demonstrate to
the satisfaction of the executive dean that they have the requisite knowledge to complete
the program.
CV
Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis. Work experience must be in the 'same discipline' as defined above.
Fee
A non-refundable AU$100 fee is charged for each submitted application.
Transcript
Academic transcripts
Do not send original documents. These will not be returned.
Provide a certified copy of your transcript as soon as it is available.
Transcripts can be certified at a Student Centre, by an approved UQ agent, or by other appropriate parties. If you are waiting for a transcript or your current results, you can submit your application with a note stating when your transcript is likely to be available. Forward a certified copy of your transcript as soon as you receive it.
When you forward your transcript, please clearly mark it with your UQ student number (if known), family name, first name, date of birth, and the UQ program you have applied for. Please also state that you have already submitted an application.
