PS A Statement of Purpose. This document should be a well-written, 1-2 page essay describing your previous research experience (including your role in any projects), primary areas of interest, motives for a M.S. in Computational Biology and reasons for considering the Department of Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon for graduate work. GPA You may contact a credential evaluation service such as WES. WES provides a course-by-course evaluation with a calculated GPA on a 4.0 scale. For international applicants, the admissions committee will not review an application without transcripts in English and a GPA that has not been calculated on a 4.0 scale. CV Submit your current Resume. Outline your education, research experience, work experience, publications, scholarships awarded, prizes and honors received, society memberships, and any other extracurricular activities. Fee Apply early to waive the application fee. Applications received by February 15 are free. After that date, a US $75 non-refundable application fee will be charged. The final deadline is March 31. RL Three online letters of recommendation. These letters should be from individuals who are in a position to evaluate your ability to successfully complete a M.S. in Computational Biology; at least one letter should be from the college most recently attended. Transcript One official transcript from each college-level institution attended, whether or not a degree was conferred. International students must provide one copy of each transcript, officially translated into English. Contact the translation service, WES.
