PS Professional Statement: In a 300- to 750-word essay, address such questions as: Why do you wish to do graduate work in history? What sorts of questions do you imagine addressing as a historian? What attracts you to the Carnegie Mellon graduate history program? Which faculty member(s) at Carnegie Mellon do you hope to work with? What are your major career goals after completing study at Carnegie Mellon University? Fee Application fee: An application fee of $35 (U.S.). RL Letters of recommendation from three of your professors or others familiar with your work, including at least one professor from the institution you last attended. Transcript Official transcripts of your college record (undergraduate and any graduate work). If you are still in attendance, the proposed program of the final semester or year should be included in the application. If admitted, you will be required to submit an official transcript at the completion of your degree program.
