TOEFL
TOEFL examinations are required of all applicants whose native language is not English or who have not received a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university where the primary language of instruction is English. Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences sets the regulation that "a minimum score of 80 on the Internet based test (IBT) on the TOEFL is required for consideration by the Graduate School." IELTS scores cannot be accepted in place of the TOEFL. Scores are valid for 2 years.
GRE
GRE scores must be no more than 5 years old at the time of application (if you are on the cusp of this criteria, we suggest retaking the GRE).
